Safety & Advocacy

Introduction

Testimonials

A Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) is a dedicated committee, typically within educational institutions or workplaces, established to promote gender equality, safety, and leadership among female students and staff. These cells conduct awareness workshops, provide legal and health guidance, and foster an environment of professional and emotional empowerment.

Workplace safety refers to the practices, rules, and habits that help keep employees protected from injuries, accidents, and health risks while doing their jobs.

It involves identifying potential hazards (like machinery, chemicals, or unsafe conditions) and taking steps to prevent harm—such as using protective equipment, following safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Workplace safety also includes proper training, emergency preparedness, and clear communication among workers and management.

In simple terms, workplace safety ensures that everyone can do their job in a secure, healthy, and risk-free environment.

Advocacy is defined as any action that speaks in favor of, recommends, argues for a cause, supports or defends, or pleads on behalf of others.
